Insulated Glass:
IG glass is made up of two discrete pieces of glass with an airspace interlayer.

Monolithic Glass (3/32 inch to 3/4 inch):
Consists of a single sheet of glass formed using the float glass manufacturing process.

Laminated Glass:
Consists of a plastic interlayer material, polyvinyl butyral, that keeps the glass in place should it break. The pieces are retained within the frame and do not “fall off” after impact.

Restoration Glass:
The practice of "restoration"- restoring an antique piece of glass to a like-new condition (or what might be perceived by a viewer or potential buyer as like-new). It takes special skill and care to bring something antique such as mirrors or windows back to their original state.

Beveled Glass:
Is usually made by taking one-quarter inch-thick clear glass and creating a one-inch bevel on one side around the entire periphery.

A transparent thermoplastic, often used as a light or shatter-resistant alternative to glass. Chemically, it is the synthetic polymer of methyl methacrylate

Bullet Resistant Glass:
Made by layering a polycarbonate material between pieces of ordinary glass in a process called lamination. This process creates a glass-like material that is thicker than normal glass.

Specialty Glass:
A wide range of decorative glass and clear sealed units for use by the door and window industry.
